Stop. It’s just too much isn’t it? Really. Too much food. Jurassic salt? Hey now let’s have some pork belly ice cream. They’re in a food coma by the end. Who foot the bill for that thing? Or did Thomas Keller eat it? I hope not. It’s sick. Good and bad sick.

Shows how much you know [about the U.S.]
Per Se, Charlie Trotter’s, Alinea, L2O – to name a few – are also great U.S. restaurants to dine luxuriously at.

  19. TheBu5ine55 says:

Dinner here was on a whole other level. I feel so lucky to have been to both The French Laundry and Per Se. TFL has the edge with the small town, and the fact the garden is across the street. Per Se has the edge with the decor and the view. Food is equally great at both places.
If you ever get the chance, take it. You may scoff at $250 per person. But you’d pay that for concert or sports tickets.
Think of it like that. As an “experience.”

  20. rp1816 says:

@skopered Also, in the book of a Cook’s Tour, he says there is about 80 staff, and 80 diners per night. Eating there must be like being a medieval king where everyone else is there to serve you.

The tip? For a free meal like this? I’m guessing 5k.
