Just to put it straight guys, in my whole life, I have never ate Philippines food before. I live in the Bay Area where there’s tons of Asians and a lot of Flippino, yet I don’t know of one Flippino restaurant. I’m sure there’s a few but Flippino food is not one that comes up when asking “Where do you want to eat?” I’m sure %80+ people have ate a bowl of Pho in the Bay Area.

@999skyler I am Viet, have been eating Viet food for all my life. I also happen to eat a lot of Fillipino food. For me, they both taste great. They are also very similar with the use of shrimp paste and fish sauce. Comparing them is like comparing a pear to an apple.

Filipino Food is just different from Vietnamese food. I like both though that rice cake is gross… really. But Bun cha and Pho…. love ‘em! Best spring rolls I have ever had is available on Le Van Huu right on the street form a woman who just sets up shop (from her basket) at lunch time between Apollo and Cafe Mai.
