While dealing with employee compensation it is always best to look out for the needs of your employees and how you two can meet on the same agreement. Especially in a kitchen, whether it be a guaranteed amount of days off per month or health benefits, what you choose to do should reflect you proudly as a boss and a employer worth working for. Giving you’re employees the ability to earn compensation gives the employeer a added advantage for them to maintain happiness within their business and gives incentive for the employees to continue to work for you. On the other end of the spectrum if you don’t offer any form of compensation you need to be able to make sure that your employees are happy with their job. You have to be able to maintain competitive pay, encourage a hostile free and productive environment. Make them want to stay. My article that I picked is basically the opposite of what you should do. It is a local occurrence that happened at Charlie Trotters here in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago. The article itself is from July of 2003, it may be a little old but it proves a valid point. As most of us know, Charlie Trotter is a very well known chef not only here in Chicago but around the world. His restaurant has been opened for twenty two years, it has been awarded two michelin stars and numerous write up in magazines. But he decided that it was best that his waitstaff would pool tips at the end of the night and turn them into him. He would then distribute the tips

“Army Air Corp March” (1942)

1942 Pressing Of The “Army Air Corp March” Performed by The Victor Military Band, Conducted By Leonard Joy, With The Four Clubman. Played On A 1940 “Airline” Radio In 1937, Assistant Chief of the Air Corps Brig. Gen. Henry H. Arnold persuaded the Chief of the Air Corps, Maj. Gen. Oscar Westover, that the Air Corps needed an official song reflecting their unique identity in the same manner as the other military services, and proposed a song competition with a prize to the winner. However, the Air Corps did not control its budget, and could not give a prize. In April 1938, Bernarr A. Macfadden, publisher of Liberty magazine stepped in, offering a prize of 00 to the winning composer, stipulating that the song must be of simple “harmonic structure”, “within the limits of [an] untrained voice”, and its beat in “march tempo of military pattern”.[1] Over 700 compositions were received and evaluated by a volunteer committee of senior Air Corps wives with musical backgrounds chaired by Mildred Yount, the wife of Brig. Gen. Barton K. Yount. The committee had until July 1939 to make a final choice. However, word eventually spread that the committee did not find any songs that satisfied them, despite the great number of entries. Arnold, who became Chief of the Air Corps in 1938 after Westover was killed in a plane crash, solicited direct inquiries from professional composers and commercial publishers, including Meredith Willson and Irving Berlin, but not even Berlin’s creation

This movie was shot with a Sony HVR-Z1U hdv camera in 1080i, & 2 Nikon D5100′s in 1080p/30; for convenience during the competition it was delivered exclusively from the z1u since that camera carried the audio recording. Lamb Chops and Turnips! Part 1

Thank you for putting up with my unedited cooking clips. I enjoy chatting with you and invite you to look at BOTH my YouTube channels (SLOBOMOTION is the other), to check out my clips and slideshows on Dailymotion (under “LisaFalour”) and to have a peek at my website, cutecatfaith.com. Lamb is probably the least PC (politically correct) meat on the planet. (I have a video up about this. The carbon footprint is huge, and the whole issue of eating meat at all . . . well, I am sympathetic to vegetarians, let’s say.) This being said, my spouse has done all our budgeting and shopping for some time now, as I am disabled, and he does it better anyway, and he got turnips and some lamb chops at our greenmarket today. Le Marché de Saint-Denis runs every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday morning, and is the biggest market in all of Europe — it dates back to the Dark Ages, and the time when Saint-Denis was the capital of France, before Paris. I run a private guide service and when you visit Paris (or France, or even other places in Europe to some extent), I can help you find good lodgings and can take you around, by appointment. Paris is a fascinating world capital but can be very overwhelming and not the warmest nor the friendliest place — you might do better with a local to guide you some. I also facilitate business here in France, do expatriation services, export, all kinds of stuff! Whether traveling alone or with your family, I try to stay out of your face but give you the support

Legendary Promoter Don Chargin presents Perez vs. Jimenez in Salinas

These days, the legendary promoter for the past 60 years sits back and oversees as his matchmakers Paco and Jorge arrange the bouts, and basks in the knowledge that Kathy Garcia will do all the heavy lifting. Team Garcia manages headliner Eloy Perez (21-0) and has been the driving force for all things Salinas in the boxing world. Telefutura will televise the Perez vs. Daniel Jimenez (21-3 San Juan Puerto Rico) NABO Title bout from the Salinas Sports complex with a few other local area fighters on the 6 bout card. A crowd of local fans and media jammed into Chapala’s Restaurant for Thursday’s weigh-in, where the scale was placed on the floor for some reason rather than stage, without a microphone to announce weights and names of the fighters they came to see. No bout sheets were available to the legit press on hand, so confusion reigned supreme. Regardless, a good time was had by all as part of the festivities was a celebration of Don Chargin’s Hall of Fame career as a promoter, that started 60 years ago at Washington Park in Santa Clara…also an outdoor venue. Mr. Chargin lost his wife and promoting partner Lorraine a few years back, but still does an occasional show of his own while serving as a consultant for Golden Boy Promotions. This will be Perez’ 5th consecutive Telefutura appearance, so the NABO Jr. Lightweight Champion is building his reputation to that Spanish viewing audience. He is not however known well enough to warrant the big fights he seeks, and his
