Actually this torture is from ice and the drops are not rhythmic. The whole torture is about not knowing when the ICE COLD water drop will fall. So you can’t anticipate when a freezing drop will fall on your head.
also there is no way it forms a hole in your head. Ever heard of the skin? Which will not allow water to enter?

Two things.
1. That would be unethical and illegal.
2. While they stated this in the video,
The hallow in the skull doesn’t actually form, it is just perceived, as the entire point of the torture is that almost everybody knows water erodes rock, so they correlated it with their skull.

This mythbust was not done correctly. The chinese would drop water on a prisoners head for months, sometimes years. They would feed them so little to keep them alive for the proper death. The water drops would eventually form a hole in the prisoners skull and water would drop into one’s brain.

waterboarding is still used today as a form of torture.it was used in many tortures of the spanish inquisition and often resulted in insanity and horrible deaths.
